Travelling to Slovenia, staying in Kobarid
A greensward where woods tear down mounts to dive into Nadiza or Soca, bewitching rivers with crystalline, turquoise waters ; incarnation of nature's beauty before which famous Meccas draining tourists in a body can only bow.
How nice to drive on the narrow road linking Kobarid to Podbela, bordered with superb, varied couloured flowers which are carefully looked after by residents and give to the valley a mediterranean touch.
How nice to stay on the camping site, to make a fire to light up and warm up our evenings and meals, far away, but for how long, from any rule that prevents us from enjoying simple and ancestral joys.
Thank you to the inhabitants of this unequalled region, camping site managers, tourist information employees, Mercator's cashiers, people met on our strolls, for their kindness, expressed with words or purely and simply with a nice smile.
